This is no time to be healthy. Don’t try to use olive oil or coconut oil or avocado oil. Go to the store, buy the Crisco vegetable oil just like your grandma would use to fry chicken. Trust me on this one. Don’t try to use raw sugar or stevia. Get the Domino sugar in the big yellow bag. Please treat yourself for this recipe.
1 c. granulated white sugar
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
2 apples, peeled and sliced
Whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and oil in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in flour. (I recommend using a spatula for this instead of a whisk). Spread mixture evenly into a (go ahead and use butter for this) greased 9x13 pan. Lay apple slices evenly across the top of the mixture, then push the apple slices into the mixture until they are covered. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes.
Once they are finished baking, cut into small squares. They will keep in an airtight container for 3-5 days (if you don’t eat them all immediately). Serve with coffee or English breakfast tea; Enjoy!
