One morning recently, Christian and I woke up early and decided to take the camera to visit a historic area near the top of the Mobile Bay. The culture and history of this area inspired so many of my design choices years ago when making this collection, and to see the pieces next to the structures that influenced them, whether subtly or strongly, was so powerful to me. To allow these pieces to tell stories in the same way that structures built by the generations before us tell them, would be a beautiful success.
