Though technically in the neighboring town of Madison, AL, Grounded Coffee is warmly accepted as an honorary Huntsville staple. Owners Chris and Katie opened the shop in 2014 with one mission in mind: teach people to serve each other. Yes, crafting quality coffee drinks for their customers is also hugely important to this shop, but it runs parallel to their hope to grow their employees in a healthy, supportive work environment, and have that kindness pour over (pun intended) into their customer relations.
In addition to traditional espresso drinks, the shop offers Piper and Leaf Tea, multiple coffee brewing methods, and holds a cupping each month for community coffee education. They proudly brew and retail single origins and blends from Steadfast Coffee from Nashville, TN, and Populace Coffee from Bay City, MI, and additionally bake daily specials every morning in house, before the sun comes up. Cherry almond scones, cran-orange muffins, and lemon cookies are just a few of the decadent sweets you can pair with your cup.
“...our desire is for our patrons to enjoy the coffee as it was meant to be...great coffee is not an accident”, says Chris, and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
